Satish Kaushik

Satish Chandra Kaushik was an Indian actor, director, producer, comedian and screenwriter.

He was an alumnus of National School of Drama and FTII.

He won the Filmfare Best Comedian Award twice.

He was noted for his roles as "Calendar" in Mr. India, as Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana.

He also remember for acting in British Film Brick Lane as "Chanu Ahmed".

As a theatre actor, his most noted role was that of "Willy Loman" in the play, Salesman Ramlal.

He co-wrote and anchored a TV countdown show, Philips Top Ten, for which he won the Screen Videocon Award.

He was married to Shashi Kaushik in 1985.

He died at the age of 66 on 9 March 2023 in Gurgaon due to a heart attack.
